DANIEL CANEDO

Mr. Canedo, a Brazilian dancer born in Patos de Minas, graduated from the Academia Lucia Qeuiroz in 2004 and completed his professional training at the Centro de Formacao Artistica in 2008.  He immediately was accepted into the Sesi Minas Dance Company as first soloist, performing the  full-length ballets ‘Don Quixote’, ‘Coppelia’, ‘La Fille Mal Gardee’, ‘Cinderella’,  and  ‘La Sylphide’.  He has participated in many festivals, winning the Best Dancer Award at the 2nd Dance Festival “Alex dos Anjos and Friends’ in 2002. He has performed as guest artist with many companies, and brings to the stage a defining elegance and electric presence. This is Mr. Canedo’s first season with DANB.

Why I dance:

Dance is dedication, ability, pleasure, pain, talent, sensibility. I dance so I can turn all this into emotion, and turn this emotion into enjoyment for the audience.
