REKA GYULAI

 


Ms. Gyulai joined DANB  2009, and has proven herself to be an invaluable member of the company. A graduate of the Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest, Hungary, Ms. Gyulai has won numerous awards including finalist in the International Ballet competition in Vienna. She spent summers on full scholarship at North Carolina Dance Theatre. Ms. Gyulai has performed in numerous cities throughout Russia, was principal dancer for Columbia Classical Ballet and International Ballet and guested for numerous companies throughout the south dancing Kitri in Don Quixote, Sugar Plum Fairy in Nutcracker and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty .  She is a musical and passionate dancer.  She is faculty member at Pofahl Studios, the Offical School of Dance Alive National Ballet.

Why I dance:

I think being able to tell people about feelings through the arts is beautiful. Doing this with dance is amazing! I love dancing and I love music.  I cannot express my joy of the two of them together.
